Terms and Conditions

​These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the PostMyDoc website (postmydoc.au) and the PostMyDoc mobile application (“the App”), collectively referred to as “the Service,” operated by PostMyDoc (“we,” “us,” “our”), based in Woodside, South Australia.

By accessing the Service, uploading a document, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must cease using the Service immediately.


1. About the Service

PostMyDoc provides a digital-to-physical document mailing service. Customers upload a PDF document via the PostMyDoc website or mobile app. PostMyDoc prints the document and posts it to a nominated recipient address via Australia Post.

The Service is available to:

  • Individuals and businesses in Australia sending documents to addresses within Australia (“domestic service”)
  • Individuals and businesses in Australia sending documents to overseas addresses (“international service”)
  • Individuals and businesses overseas sending documents to addresses within Australia (“overseas to Australia service”)

2. Agreement to Terms

By using the Service you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or any organisation you represent
  • All information you provide is accurate and complete
  • You will use the Service only for lawful purposes

These Terms apply to all orders placed through the PostMyDoc website and the PostMyDoc mobile app (available on Android and iOS).


3. Service Description and Fulfillment

3.1 Order Process Orders are placed by uploading a PDF document, selecting print type (Black and White or Colour), selecting a postage service, and providing recipient delivery details. Orders are fulfilled manually by PostMyDoc personnel before being lodged with Australia Post.

3.2 Dispatch Orders placed before 2pm AEST on a business day are dispatched same business day. Orders placed after 2pm AEST or on weekends and public holidays are dispatched the next business day. PostMyDoc reserves the right to vary dispatch timeframes during periods of high volume, public holidays or exceptional circumstances.

3.3 Printing Documents are printed to a professional standard. PostMyDoc does not guarantee exact colour reproduction for Colour orders as printed output may vary from on-screen display depending on the content of the document.

3.4 Postage Services PostMyDoc offers the following domestic postage services:

  • Standard Post (no tracking) — estimated 2-6 business days
  • Standard Post with Tracking — estimated 2-6 business days with Australia Post tracking
  • Express Post with Tracking — estimated next business day to metro areas, 2-5 business days to regional and rural areas

PostMyDoc offers the following international postage services:

  • Standard International Post — estimated 15 or more business days
  • International Registered Post (includes tracking and signature on delivery) — estimated 15 or more business days
  • International Express Post (includes tracking and signature on delivery) — estimated 3-6 business days

All delivery timeframes are indicative and based on Australia Post estimates. PostMyDoc does not guarantee delivery timeframes.

3.5 Page Limits and Additional Charges The base price for all services includes up to 10 pages. Additional pages are charged at $0.20 per page for Black and White and $0.45 per page for Colour. Page count is determined by the number of pages in the uploaded PDF document.

3.6 Service Area The domestic service covers all addresses within Australia. The international service covers all destinations serviced by Australia Post’s international mail network. PostMyDoc reserves the right to decline orders to destinations that are not serviceable by Australia Post or where delivery cannot be reasonably guaranteed.


4. The Burn After Reading Policy

4.1 Document Handling PostMyDoc is committed to the privacy and security of your documents. All uploaded documents are:

  • Transmitted using 256-bit SSL encryption
  • Stored in a restricted server directory not publicly accessible
  • Printed once for the purpose of fulfilling your order only
  • Permanently and automatically deleted from PostMyDoc’s systems within 24 hours of your order being dispatched

4.2 No Retention PostMyDoc does not retain copies of your uploaded documents after deletion. No backups of your document are kept. Once deleted your document cannot be recovered by PostMyDoc or provided to any third party.

4.3 Staff Access PostMyDoc personnel access uploaded documents only to the extent necessary to print and prepare your order for dispatch.

4.4 Limitation The Burn After Reading Policy applies to uploaded PDF documents only. Order details including recipient address, sender name and email address, order value and postage service are retained as part of PostMyDoc’s order records in accordance with the Privacy Policy.


5. User Warranties and Prohibited Content

5.1 You warrant that:

  • You own the copyright in the document you upload or have the legal authority to print and distribute its contents
  • The document does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • The document is not prohibited content as described in clause 5.2
  • The recipient address you provide is accurate and complete

5.2 Prohibited Content You agree not to upload documents that contain content that is:

  • Illegal under Australian law or the law of the destination country
  • Defamatory, threatening, harassing or abusive toward any person
  • Obscene, pornographic or offensive
  • Infringing on any third party’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights
  • Unsolicited commercial material in violation of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)
  • Fraudulent, misleading or deceptive
  • Harmful to minors
  • Inciting violence, hatred or discrimination

5.3 Right to Refuse PostMyDoc reserves the right to refuse, cancel or delete any order where prohibited content is identified. In such cases no refund will be issued. PostMyDoc may report prohibited content to relevant authorities where required by law.

5.4 No Pre-Screening PostMyDoc does not pre-screen documents before printing. You are solely responsible for the content of documents you upload.


6. Pricing and Payment

6.1 Prices All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Current pricing is displayed on the PostMyDoc website at postmydoc.au/pricing and within the PostMyDoc app. PostMyDoc reserves the right to change pricing at any time. Changes to pricing do not affect orders already placed.

6.2 Payment Methods Payments are processed securely via Stripe. The following payment methods are accepted:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Google Pay
  • Afterpay
  • Klarna

By using Afterpay or Klarna you agree to the terms and conditions of those respective services. PostMyDoc is not responsible for any fees, charges or disputes arising from your use of Afterpay or Klarna.

6.3 Payment Security PostMyDoc does not store your full card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. By completing a payment you agree to Stripe’s terms of service available at stripe.com/au/legal.

6.4 GST PostMyDoc is registered for GST in Australia. GST is included in all prices displayed on the website and app.

6.5 Currency All transactions are processed in Australian Dollars. For overseas customers your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion fees. PostMyDoc is not responsible for any such fees.


7. Australia Post and Delivery

7.1 Lodgement PostMyDoc’s responsibility for your order ends once the document has been lodged with Australia Post for delivery. PostMyDoc provides tracking information for tracked services where available.

7.2 Delays and Non-Delivery PostMyDoc is not liable for any delays, loss or damage caused by Australia Post, weather events, industrial action, natural disasters or any other circumstances beyond PostMyDoc’s reasonable control. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

7.3 Incorrect Addresses PostMyDoc prints and posts documents to exactly the address provided by the customer. PostMyDoc is not responsible for non-delivery, misdelivery or returned mail resulting from an incorrect, incomplete or illegible address provided by the customer. No refund will be issued for orders not delivered due to an incorrect address.

7.4 International Customs For international orders PostMyDoc is not responsible for delays, seizure or non-delivery caused by customs authorities in the destination country. The customer is responsible for ensuring the content of the document complies with the laws of the destination country.

7.5 Lost or Damaged Mail For tracked services PostMyDoc will assist customers in lodging a claim with Australia Post for lost or damaged mail. PostMyDoc’s liability is limited as set out in clause 9. PostMyDoc will not issue a refund for mail lost by Australia Post unless Australia Post confirms the item was lost and issues compensation.


8. Cancellations and Refunds

8.1 Cancellation Window Orders may be cancelled and a full refund issued if the cancellation request is received before PostMyDoc has begun printing the document. Once printing has commenced cancellation may not be possible.

8.2 Refund Policy Full details of PostMyDoc’s refund and cancellation policy are available at postmydoc.au/refund-policy/. The refund policy forms part of these Terms.

8.3 Australian Consumer Law Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law which cannot be excluded. If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law you may be entitled to a remedy for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee.


9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law including the Australian Consumer Law, PostMyDoc’s total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to:

  • The re-supply of the service, or
  • A refund of the amount paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim

whichever PostMyDoc elects.

9.2 PostMyDoc is not liable for:

  • Any indirect, consequential, special or incidental loss or damage
  • Loss of profit, revenue, business or anticipated savings
  • Loss of data beyond the scope of the Burn After Reading Policy
  • Any loss arising from delays, loss or damage caused by Australia Post
  • Any loss arising from your use of third party payment services

9.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, warranty, right or remedy which cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable law.


10. Intellectual Property

10.1 All intellectual property in the PostMyDoc website, app, branding, logo, and content is owned by PostMyDoc. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from PostMyDoc’s intellectual property without prior written consent.

10.2 You retain all intellectual property rights in the documents you upload. By uploading a document you grant PostMyDoc a limited, non-exclusive licence to print and post the document for the purpose of fulfilling your order only.


11. Privacy

PostMyDoc collects and handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy available at postmydoc.au/privacy-policy/ and the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.


12. Mobile Application

12.1 These Terms apply equally to use of the PostMyDoc mobile app available on Android and iOS.

12.2 The app is provided on an “as is” basis. PostMyDoc does not warrant that the app will be free from errors, interruptions or bugs at all times.

12.3 PostMyDoc reserves the right to update, modify or discontinue the app at any time with or without notice. Updates may be required to continue using the app.

12.4 The app may request access to device features including file storage for the purpose of uploading documents and push notifications for the purpose of order updates. These permissions are optional but may affect app functionality if denied.

12.5 Push notifications sent by the app relate to your order status only. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.


13. Third Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third party services:

  • Australia Post — postal delivery services. Australia Post’s terms and conditions apply to the delivery of your mail item
  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe’s terms of service apply to payment transactions
  • Afterpay — buy now pay later payment option. Afterpay’s terms apply where this payment method is selected
  • Klarna — buy now pay later payment option. Klarna’s terms apply where this payment method is selected
  • Google — address autocomplete via Google Places API and analytics via Firebase

PostMyDoc is not responsible for the terms, availability or conduct of any third party service.


14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless PostMyDoc and its personnel from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • The content of documents you upload
  • Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party
  • Your use of the Service in a manner not authorised by these Terms

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.

15.2 Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.

15.3 Before commencing legal proceedings you agree to contact PostMyDoc at the contact details below and allow 14 days for PostMyDoc to attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith.


16. Changes to These Terms

PostMyDoc reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website and app with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, that provision will be severed from these Terms and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
